Way cool blue & purple Lincoln Cent Icerain! I love it when copper coins, especially Lincoln Cents turn blue. It is radical and someday I'll have one of my own. I just need to be patient and it will fall into my hands when the moment's right!
Ikeigwin; Your lovely 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent looks better than a mere MS65. The only area that has any traffic is on Lincoln's shoulder. Who graded it?
SSG Gonzo; Your 1958 D/D/D/D/D does appear to be in low grade mint state according to the photographs I see. I think that this particular DDO has the most double dies I have ever seen! And I feel that you way got your money's worth for $5.00 for 100 wheats. Congratulations and my compliments on your good eyes for finding it!
I agree with BadThad SSG Gonzo on the prices you got from that shop. What deals you got! Remind me to go to that shop if I am ever in the city where the coin shop is!
Yes IGradeMS70; I guess I got carried away. It's been a while since I have reviewed this thread and there were so many cool Cents posted recently!
The toning is now permanent. The best thing would be to soak it in distilled water for a couple of hours, rinse it with acetone and put it into an airtite. Anything other than that and the coin will be ruined IMO.
I had this 65RB regraded, thinking it might be 66. Sent it through Secure Plus. PCGS called it 65RD. Huh? Lance.
:smileGoing thru 1 of my wheat bag this Chocolate brown VF 1920-P jump out. I wish was MS-6+++ But @ best VF-30 if real lucky. but a nice hold filler
I have been seriously good at not buying coins the last couple of months, ask RLM I havent bought any from him ROFL.. I have the urge to buy something now! Gosh darn you guys!!!!!!!!
:thumb:I agree MS-66 or Red not Red+Brown some cameras can't show the true color due to lighting angel of photo etc! But for sure its a stunning 1917-D!!!!
Probably so, Jello, in many cases. However, that is exactly what the coin looks like. Glad you like it! Lance.
