Can anyone tell me more about medal alignments of these coins as far as in aware they are all coin ? The one I have is medal that's all..
It is my understanding that many UK coins were produced in medal turn, so I'll leave this for someone else to answer. Chris
its just confusing as all of my other doubles are coin alignment :S i cant find any reference for a medal alignment of this ill take a pic shortly
mine doesnt either :S i think it must be a mule, i was just wondering if it was a common mule or a lonesome one ha
It was struck in coin alignment, the only mule mentioned is the 1830 which had a St Helena Halfpenny obverse, note it was spelt Guernesey (French) on the coin and not Guernsey http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces8682.html
There is a tiny tiny shadow of the H if you blow the image up to its largest size; I was looking for the H too.
On this side of the pond, a mule is a coin that has one denomination on one side and a different denomination on the other, such as a Washington obverse (25c) struck with a Sacagawea reverse (1$). Chris
haha, still nice though, no kids for me yet.. but then im only 22 plenty of coins and fast cars too buy yet !
