I bought it about a year ago when silver was down low and I couldn't pass it up. LoL the funny thing was I was looking through a bin that was all $29 and I stumbled across her. I made the purchase as soon as I could and after I got the receipt the guy asked me why I was quick in the purchase. I explained to him the deal with it and he told me he didn't have the time to go thru all the Morgans and Peaces to look for the Vams lol. After that everytime I went to the store he would hand me a bin full of new silver dollars that he had purchased so I could find the Vams and buy them a $29 each. I scored a few more but got rid of them threw the year.

Gosh - lucky you! I just got into Peace and I haven't even got into VAMs yet.

But all the same, what a great buy.

I just received a 1909-O barber half from my grandfather and an 1857 flying eagle cent from my uncle for an early Christmas present. They are my first of each! :hail:

Got a whole bunch of foreign coins from my great-aunt, and they most likely belonged to my passed great-uncle:
    1978 10 cents Canada
    1974 3 centavos El Salvador
    1965 1/2 franc France
    1960 1 franc France
    1948 half crown Great Britain
    1991 20 pence ?
    1969 eire 10p ?
    1967 1 penny ?

If anyone could tell me what ? countries are and if any are silver or rare it would be greatly appreciated as I know little to nothing about foreign coins. Thanks and happy holidays to all!

I can't properly image this coin, especially through the slab, but the reverse is a symphony of deep copper, gold, and orange...

And the obverse has bands of pink and green all around the edges...

I think this coin has had enough toning for a lifetime, so it's staying in the slab.
