There are some much better quality ones especially on the trade dollar design.....

It's a load of crap. My six-year-old can do better art than that.

The very most of the potty coins I see are pretty poorly done. Occasionally you will see a very nice 19th century example in an auction and they go for a few hundred dollars. I collect them in my "black box" theme in collecting, along with many other things from that era that will never be posted on CT.

I don't understand how something like that can be "certified"... does ICG certify anything??

Pretty much. And you can tell them what grade you want - or at least that's the way it was back in the day. Maybe it's changed.

I like your coin much better Ripley. Man, that guy is looking for some big bucks for his amateurish potty "quarter".

This is a paraphilic example of exonumia. She looks decidedly well-worn, too. From the potty?

I just looked at a few other examples; some are jokey/potty humor, others 'artistic.' So I wonder what percentage are frankly pornographic?

Based on wear, the chamber-pot is also not the central focus in this much-abused coin:

This example is ambiguous: clearly artistic but also lovely. From the 1940s?

Please define "better quality." The example above is a more aesthetically pleasing, but unclear design.

I prefer clarity - detecto's stark example has a very explicit purpose, I believe. (Roman spintriae took this to Nth degree.)
