Buffalo Nickel Commemorative

    My Mother gave this to my daughter. I hadn't seen one before and thought I would share. It's over-sized and doesn't have IN GOD WE TRUST. Mom said she thought it was a commemorative piece.

    It's not a US Mint commemorative. A large token by a commercial mint.

    It's what many of us commonly call a coaster. It's a novelty piece made of base metal from a private source. They are often found in antique shops or similar places for a dollar or less.

    It certainly isn't a coin or a commemorative, but it is a two-feather variety whatever it is.
