This has to be one of the most mind boggling threads that I have ever read. One week ago today, you posted a thread advertising your services as a numismatic photographer. http://www.cointalk.com/t218784/ You followed that thread up with some threads asking for help with your photography, which some of us did. Now you are declaring publicly that you (a professional numismatic photographer) has sent his collection to another numismatic photographer within days of starting your new business. Ya know, conversing with you is like talking to Dori (the regal blue tang) from Finding Nemo.:headbang: @Robec, nice photo!
Great business plan: Start photography service. Charge $6 a coin. Send to robec for free imaging. Profit. Clearly he knows what he's doing.
That is amazing that you remembered that, but it is 42 not 32. I watched it last night. Now if we can somehow get Tim to change his avatar to a regal blue tang, we would be in business. Or he would Or Bob would Well, someone would. Maybe I should write it down in whale!
Because it is a service. A valuable service that many people would gladly pay money to have performed. Photographing coins is not easy, as you found out first hand. The only person I know who photographs others coins for free with a professional product is Bob. And I assume he does it for free because he enjoys numismatic photography as a hobby and gets to see a lot of really cool coins that he would otherwise not see if he charged for his services. Having said that, he isn't going to photograph just anybody's coins. You must have befriended him in some way first. But make no mistake, Bob is the exception to the rule. Most people with the photographic skill at Bob's level charge money for their services. And if you are going to start a business and advertise it on this forum. The professional thing to do is to inform us when that business is closing as well.
lol Paul. I also watched it this week. I thought my 18 month old would enjoy it. Turns out I enjoy it more than he does lol.
