1737 spanish 8 reales?

    This coin and six others I will attempt to post tonite are not (yet) in my possession. All the pics were taken in haste a couple months ago during a family health crisis. Better pics will be available in mid-January, if this forum finds that necessary or desirable.

    As with the others, I have no knowledge of authenticity. All came from a long dead uncle, into my Dad's hands...I'll have them soon.

    All your comments are most welcome...even bad news. Thanks!

    Looks like a bad cast fake to me. There are many diagnostics I look for in these, and this one fails them all. Sorry.

    I cannot but agree...certainly cast, and crummy in appearance all around.

    They have been making cast fakes like this of this coin for 80 years of longer. They fool a lot of families, since they say something like, "its been in his collection since the 70's, so it must be real".
