Well, look on the bright side: it's a triple repeater! (I never even knew people collect bills by serial number -- just goes to show you -- and I get excited when I find a wheat cent in my change, and wonder why in the world someone would pass that up! lol)
Yes, I was surprised, too. I can't recall the last time I've found one, either. That may be (in large part), due to the fact that my memory isn't what it used to be, though.
Is there any more value on a bill with a repeating serial number? I know people that collect "radar" serial numbers and but I wondered if they are worth more than the value of the note.
Star Note just got a star $1 bill in change today. this is my 2nd one in 4 months! arn't they rare. should i be keeping them? its date is 2001.
i found a star note. its really nice too. the paper is still very crisp and aside from a couple bent corners its in really nice condition. think it came out of a stack not long ago as it doesnt look like it was handled by more than 2 or 3 people. im keeping it, i think star notes are interesting.
