Sphinx Coin.?

    I have just come into the possesion of a Gold colored coin with a sphinx made of rock on it. On both sides in the middle of the sphinx is imprinted he number 1. There are also 10 stars along the circumference of the coin. I do not know what this coin is or what nation it belongs to. Does this sound familiar?

    If it has the Sphinx on it,then it is from Egypt.

    Only modern ones I know of are from egypt not to say there arent others...does this resemble the coin? there are several varieties of this coin but none that I can find that fit with the number 1 and stars
