I have these posted in another thread. "Gold coins-What to buy." I thought I'd share my first gold coin purchase with everyone and hopefully inspire some CTers' to post some of their gold coins. I traded three 1929 national bank notes for this 1926 P UNC gold indian. The LCS had five to choose from, and after carefully looking through them all, this was the best one of the bunch. He had a 1911 gold indian head, but sadly no "D". ( That would have been something to find ) I am sending it in for grading after the holidays. Enjoy!

Gotta love those Indian head gold coins. I think that your Indian will grade MS-62 to MS-63. Nice trade for paper ;)

    Here are some $5 Indians

Beautiful quarter eagle! The first gold that I bought was a quarter eagle as well, only a coronet style instead of indian. I remember being really surprised at just how small it seemed to be.

Good eye! That appears to be a nice problem-free unc. The quarter eagle indian was my first gold purchase too! And then two days later, it was also my 2nd gold coin purchase :D
