Saw that this NGC MS-68 1884 Liberty Seated Dime is a part of Teletrade's auction that starts on Sunday. I didn't even know that there were MS-68 Seated Dimes out there. Way out of my budget limits. Will be interesting to see what it goes for. It is a pretty coin though.

My wild guess will be $34,583.00

    Any other guesses?

This appears to be either an F-107, F-109 or F-110 variety on the Seated Dime Varieties website. If it's an F-107, then its an R-4. Although, none of the varieties mention a die crack extending from the foot. Could be a die clash in front of the foot?

3 NGC MS68 sold for $8k, a PCGS sold for $17k many years ago, I doubt it will sell at that price. Price is set too high..

Am I the only person who isn't impressed by this coin? Something just seems... off about it. Not worth the $ IMO

I still lean to the F-107. The date on the F-105 is a "slight downward slope", this coin appears to have the "downward slope" in the F-107. Also, the F-105 has die marks (clashing) next to the date. The F-107 doesn't, and neither does the coin being auctioned off.

I am new at this so I could be completely wrong.

Never mind that, didn't realize they set the Starting Bid at $16,500

The PCGS coin being auctioned is a population of 1, so this is probably the same coin that sold for $17,000 many years ago. Wonder if the person selling it today is the same one that bought it for $17,000 the other time it was auctioned off.
