How much dd u pay and how much is it worth if you don't mind me asking. I got a few of those that I wouldn't mind selling if they are worth some money.

If you want to get into collecting this sort of thing, I recommend joining the Ration Token Collector's Society.

The town indicated is just 6 miles from me. I looked in the Phone directory with no close results, but so many are not ATT anymore. I have my booklets that my mother saved someplace. I have them in my stamp collection as I think they fit better there with the other stamps from the war.

What is truly scarce to find in those ration books are the points for sugar and coffee - they were few in the book anyway and were usually the first to go - if you didn't use them yourself you traded them away to someone who would. I have a ration book that I bought when I was a kid and my grandmother explained the whole process, with the little blue and red tokens etc. I have managed to find an original spring loaded token dispenser for OPA tokens and have whole rolls of the OPA tokens. There are even rare varieties of the tokens that can be worth a bit of money.

Ration Book Five is the scarcest.
