Post an error

I have no idea how i got a hold of this but there it was at the bottom of one of my
Cash boxes, looks like a really neat error though, help with value and scarcity

Your error is known as a butterfly error and isn't very common. What condition is the note in?

I did decide to keep the off sets as well as the 34C Series...

 

Not sure how uncommon an error this is, since printing was pretty sloppy by this time (2003), but here's a serial number mismatch:

It's the MA block, but the serial number at upper right is an inverted "W" instead of an "M":



This error is an "R7" on Dr. Bart's Relative Rarity Index.

 

I'm trying to get one myself. I have yet to find a single E2/E4 face plate note. There appears to be a large number of these error notes out there, so I doubt the R7 rating. But the sheer number of silver certs dwarfs the quantity of inverted Ws.

 

I looked every day for about six months and found one E2 (the note above) out of 94 MA block notes I found.

 

Just recently acquired this one a few weeks ago.

 

Is it a direct or indirect transfer? From what I see, it's an indirect. The description only states "Error". Nice note.
