Hi Ace and good to hear from you. Let me warn you that dimes in NYC have become very difficult (for a family site). :)

I had to work for my halves today, I had to make a few phone calls and got ahold of the guy who forgot to order my halves last week. He apologized and told me to come in Thursday. I'll have 3 boxes of halves and 2 boxes of dimes for Thursday and Friday this week. Tomorrow is a dump day and loose halves from teller trays if any.

Good to hear from you Ace, Dimes have been OK for me. They kept me afloat while I was going through some supply issues with my half dollar supply banks.

I don't know exactly where you are located, but I see you're in the northeast. I know a bank in NH that has probably a box or more of halves on hand, I just have no luck when I go there and search through them. I am the type that likes to scoop up what tellers have in their trays because that is how I find all my silver. I have searched through a lot of BWR and I have found 1 half in doing so and its puts a sour taste in my mouth. If you want to take a shot at it, Ill let you know where the bank is if you're in the area.

    Welcome back, Ace.

Hit about 30 banks today, didn't find much, just 1 40%er out of probably $250 in CWR's. Did pick up about $30 in ikes, pulled a single, nicer '72 T1. Dropped by a grocery store (y'all should really remember to check the grocery stores.. I mean, the customer service desks, not banks inside them) and they had a single ike and a single half... both 40%ers! Proof bicentennials. Asked if they had any similarly shiny quarters... boom, 40% silver bicentennial quarter, lol. Gotta love grocery stores. :)

The local dollar tree gets them a lot. The manager said she's going to save them for me.

    Well, box of halves - 40% (x2)
This branch has Dunbar delivery whereas my reg branch uses Garda. Either way, I'm still getting the long yellow S&S boxes...so I guess they're still coming from the same place. I'll contemplate about adding this new branch to my list of p/u's since it is further away.

I did get another call this afternoon from a TD teller in the Valley that has more CWR halves tucked away for me. I like this! Boy am I really seeing the importance of making special connections with certain staff. Made sure to pickup some candy and Dunkies gift cards to pass around too.

Wonder if these are from someone's collection?

I found all of these from the same CWR. Couldn't believe they were so clean (especially the 1963). Makes me wonder if these belonged to a collection or cleaned well or even dipped. What do y'all think? IMAG1202-1.jpg IMAG1203-1.jpg

I haven't been picking up dimes at my local wells fargo branch because they had nothing but solid 2012 boxes. Finally stopped back today after giving them 4 weeks off to work through the new stuff and was able to grab a box of circulated dimes. I was able to get about half through the box at lunch. It was still thick with 2012's but I was able to pull out a nice 1950 roosie. Hopefully there's more in the other half!

Edit: Just the one. Better than zero!
