I searched another $500 Fed box of halves and for the first time found no silver. It was only a matter of time before the odds would catch-up with me. The only keeper was a 2003-P. I found 2 holed halves (73 and 74-D). There were also about 6 that were marked with red above Kennedy's head (someone elses search). My stats for far: 3306 searched 1 - Franklin 8 - 1964 42 - 40% silver 1,962 - 1970s 526 - 1980s 694 - 1990s 73 - 2000s So far no 1964-D, 1970-D, 1987-P, 1987-D, 2002-D, or 2003-D - 2006-D. Most found: 1971-D (489), 1976-D (247), 1974 (228), 1973-D (141), 1998-P (112), and 1974-D (102).
I'm nearing the end, too. So...get stealthy!! Go with a family member or friend to their bank and have them order for you. If they don't use the same money operations center, you're back on track. Good Luck! A-
I don't know what you do with your coins, but here is tip. The Bicentennial Halves may sell for a nice profit on Ebay. The halves and dollars are iffy, sometimes they sell good and sometimes not (even for circulated rolls)... BUT... Bicentennial Quarter rolls almost AVERAGE $15 bucks each... yes... even for circulated ones!
