Just recently my mother found a penny rolling around in the dryer after taking clothes out, and noticed it wasnt like others, Its a silver wheat penny dated 1943 with an S mint mark. I read a thread just the other day with someone who had one dated 1944 where someone mentioned if it were genuine it'd be worth a small fortune. A couple more things to note about the penny is that it seemed a little worn in several places, its magnetized, just grabbed a magnet off of my fridge and it stuck to it. Here are a couple pictures of the coin.

Sorry if the quality is bad, I just took them with the camera on my phone.
I was just hoping that someone might be able to tell me if this is worth anything or if its just a fake. Thanks for any help ahead of time.

Welcome to the forum!. Unfortunately, it isn't silver, it is zinc plated steel and they were only issued with a 1943 date, so any of a different date ( 1944) are either very rare, or are fakes. We see a lot of fakes here, even '43 copper based cents which are exceedingly rare also. Yours is worth just a few cents- less than a dollar, but it is certainly a conversation piece at times.
