I received this war nickel in change from my bank a long time ago and I want your opinion of its grade and value.
There are plenty of 1945-P war nickels in bad condition, I have a few, yours is nicer than that. With the zoomed in pics, the obverse there looks to be a ding near the nose and little something near the "E" of WE. Reverse you've got some environmental stuff going on, and a couple imperfections. It is the second most common of the war nickels after the 1943-P. Melt right now is 1.88, you could score $2 maybe a few cents more. It's a cool thing to find in change, keep it.
Due to the condition of this nickel (vf), all of the value is in it's silver content. That being $1.86 today.
Thanks for your input, I also found another 1945 P war nickel a few minutes ago in a roll but in much worse condition.
