Morgan 1896

Hello all,

Just wondering what this Morgan is worth. Not sure if its anything special or if its actually in decent shape. Any info would be great!

Umm... I'm pretty sure 1896 New Orleans is both a common date and common mint... unless that really is MS-63. It looks lackluster AND thumbed, so I doubt it.

I looked it up, and the O is slightly more common than the S, so it's desired. You might want to post close images of both sides, as I highly doubt that's better than AU-53 from that picture.

I would ask for pics of front & back out of the holder, macro mode.

Also, what's he asking?

 

I just emailed him about the price. I'll see what he says.

 

The 1896 O is a semi key date in AU and above. I'd say its AU53-55, but better pics would help. Going with this photo I'd say its worth about $150.

 

I'd want better photos taken from directly overhead. It looks like those scratches could be worse than shown.
