If you had to choose one or the other to collect, which would you choose, would you choose the Presidential dollars or the Susan B. Anthony dollar?
For some reason, I like the Susan B. Anthony coin more... I guess it seems more unique and less cheap looking (ironic since the pres. coins look more like gold)
Neither. I guess Susan's because of the reverse and because I don't like how the Pres dollars go dull in an album.
I have a feeling this may be a close poll but Presidential dollars, just so much more history in them.
I'll go with the presidential dollars for the historical sense of it. I do like the SBA better than the SAC but not better than the dead guys.
I like the SBAs because a complete set is a known quantity of coins, even with the type Is and IIs. I like the design unlike most, but understand why it failed commercially. The presidential series, however, is still an open ended set, depending on future presidents kicking the bucket. Also the presidential dollars has some errors, but will these be later considered varieties and will new errors appear with future production? More plainly, I just do not like the manganese-golden dollar and the cheap looking reverse. It reminds me too much of a Chucky Cheese token.
