    Handsome, rich, & powerful?

Post an image that depicts an appearance or characteristics that you would not mind having yourself.

    Here is Captain James Cook.

Carol II and Carol I of Romania also made it onto some handsome coins.

Someone is bound to post a hog mouth Leopold Taler. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ;)

    "Espejo" as a surname

Meaning mirror in English. Looking at the obverse, found this very funny. If a Sucre was just worth a fraction of his self image?

Yes. Apollo is a good one. :hail:

The Albania 1 Fang Ar has a helmuted head on the obverse that could be Apollo. Princeofwaldo owns the 1 Fang Ar so I hope he posts it here. It is depicted at this thread post #1696. http://www.cointalk.com/t165399-114/

Also the Albania 2 Franga Ari also depicts a handsome man. In the case of the 2 Franga Ari, the man is a seed sower.

The issue arose because members were discussing the merit of posting Susan B. Anthony and Eunice Kennedy/Shriver in the beautiful women coin thread. Caz/Cannyn then chimed in about not being so superficial, followed by myself, tongue firmly in cheek, proposing this for the ladies. The only man I could think of off the top of my head was JFK as a historically handsome man. I don't regularly discuss men as being gorgeous, hot, etc. The problem with the male side of this equation is that I don't evalute men like I do women by my own nature. So it is hard for me to visualize, say, an older man and think to myself, "he must've been so handsome in his younger years" ... whereas, with a woman, I can do it somewhat easily. It was not supposed to start some sort of debate on the merits of women/men on coins for their looks, just a comment to back up anothers. I do find it ironic that men have already been qualified with their intelligence, money, etc. for being placed on coins.

Another "problem", when it comes to attractive men on coins, is that allegorical representations (of a country, of specific virtues or achievements, etc.) are almost exclusively female. Sir Liberty? Nah. :) Guess that having a look at the Olympics coins topic could help out here ...

Yes, poor choice of word, it isn't a problem, more a reality and I almost put that same remark in my previous post but thought I had already chosen too many points to touch on.

Has anger issues but some female ancient collectors rank this "bad boy" high in looks.
