    Hi all,

Here is a fun coin. A 1964D class II (distorted) doubled die, that also has machine doubling on it as well. To make it easy, I have indicated the areas affected by machine doubling with red arrows. Notice how the doubling is flat and shelf-like. The black arrows point to the actual doubled die. Notice how the doubled part is rounded, and has notching on certain parts of the letters. I hope this helps people that are just starting out understand the characteristics of certain forms of doubling, so that it is easier to identify coins in the future. :)

    Enjoy!

The tricky part of this is that class II doubling and machine doubling look very similar, so attribution can be difficult.
