Literally the last penny I had in the bunch lastnite... I'm pretty sure it's a 2000 wide AM but since it's the first one I've seen not on a computer screen I'd love to have a 2nd, 3rd, 4th... opinion :) Also, if it is in fact a wide AM and I'm not crazy, what would you grade it? I'm wondering if it would be worth anything with those nasty little spots on the back and the one on the front. Thanks!

I'm not really sure, but to me it looks like a wam.
Aren't the A and the M on the cam's pretty much touching at the bottoms? The A and M on your coin seem to have good separation.

Yeah I went through and checked the other 00's in the pile and they were all pretty much touching. This was at 1am this morning so I was pretty tired and not focusing the best after looking at several hundred 92, 92, 98, 99's, and 00's :)

Thanks. It's my first. Any ideas as to value? Or what those spots are?

Confirmed, yes it is a WAM. The spots are probably from somebody sneezing on the coin in the past.. Value? Hmmm, a nice MS63 can be had for 25 bucks. With the spots, perhaps 5-10 bucks.

Certainly a genuine WAM, and I'm going to agree with the $5-10 value that Jim mentioned.

Cool cool. Thanks! I only had to look through 40,107 to find it! :) Now for the other WAMs...
    PS - Kinda nasty if it's a sneeze-penny. :foot-mouth:

Just a question - how many of these are there? I read lincolncentresource.com and it just says that it is the "least rare". Curious if there is a rough estimate anywhere.

I found my first WAM today.....its a 2000, and man is it in bad shape. Such awesome to find one, but so disappointing to find one in the condition it was in.

so some folks put these certain cents back for well, lets say 4 months at a time. this guys seperates and searches for WAM as well as CAM depending on the year. what has been found? not a daggone thing. happy hunting! one day it may happen

Here is the one I found.....it has gouges, stains scratches and dings. Probably worth about $.05. I only took pics of the reverse, but it is a 2000.

It's good to know that these things are still out there. I am looking forward to going through my two boxes I got from the bank today. Maybe I'll get lucky and find that 92 CAM :)
