1972D Mark next to 1 in date?

    It is almost too uniform to be a die break. It could be a die gouge like non cents said, or it could be a die dent.

    Even though I'd get headaches searching bags of Lincoln cents (don't do it any more!), one of the fun things of searching 5000 coins of the same date/mm is that when you find something like a clash, dent or gouge, there will usually be lots more of them in the bag.

    Its worth one cent if that is what your asking, keeping it is entirely up to you and whether you like it.
