I'll let you guys be the judge of this one but I think this guy is trying to scam some one . What do you think ? Check out the links to the 1795 1/2 dollar . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...80032209768&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1 & http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...00031508705&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1 The two user names are pretty similar along with the register dates & to top it all off- if you check the ID history it appears to me that they both were the same name at one time. Im gonna call him on it - I just wanted to give anyone a heads up if they were looking at this coin. We will see
They are also both from illinois, have horrible feedback etc. I would agree they are the same person.
******@aol.com is just the way EBay's displays an AOL email address as a former ID. Just because both are in the same state, have (or had) AOL addresses, and definitely deserve to be on anyone's "Don't Bid" list, doesn't make them the same person. The coins pictured have different wear patterns, so I'm convinced the pictures are of different cons.
I agree that they are different coins. Since I live in IL I emaied both sellers and asked if I could view the coin in person. It is my guess that both are not genuine, hopefully I will be able to view them.
. I just find it weird that the sellers both registered with ebay on the same day , have simaler usernames , simaler past user names , are selling trhe same date coin & both are in Indiana & both were listed on the on the same day at the same time. If it isnt the same person Ill be shocked , & I didnt say I thought they were the same coin. Good looking out C.T. let us know if he responds to you also.
A great big THANKS to everyone participating in this dialouge about unscrupulous coin dealers and possible scams. This is what makes Coin Talk membership so important; immediate information and immerdiate response. Clinker
