1914D - Harshly cleaned VG details. $150 is not horrible, but I wouldn't have bought it and, if I did, I'd be closer to $75 with an offer. 1925 - MS-63 (as best as I can tell from the pics), worth about $15-20.
I'd send the 1914D back. For what you paid, I would think you should be able to get one that has not been so "harshly" cleaned.
Thanks guys. The eBay pic he used a flash so it didn't look shinny. Oh we'll. back to searching for a 14-D Side note: got my Verdi-Care today Thad, I'll post some pictures when I use it(got to get a proper towel). Thanks.
My preferred method is using a toothpick. I recommend spot treating or soaking first although I've seen the towel method work wonders on moderate verdigris. This picture was from my testing using the towel method. I couldn't believe my eyes and was glad I took pictures of this one.
I have a 1967 penny that was missed stamped. It is the whole penny that was stamped on edge and is now is a full penny with a half moon extended out with the date on one side and Lincolns partial face on the other side of the half moon. Have no idea what the value might be.
