I have been wanting a microscope with digital camera for a while now. The Kodak camera I have hasn't given me any better pics than my HTC Inspire phone camera even with the macro settings. I probably take 50 pics of a coin before choosing which ones to upload for y'all to view; knowing they aren't great but hopefully good enough for all to come to a conclusion and share your opinions. Since Christmas is coming up and my birthday 3 days after that....I surrendered today and bought the Aven 26700-300 ZipScope USB Digital Microscope with 2 Mega-Pixel 10x-50x Optical, 200x Digital Magnification off of Amazon.com. Projected date of delivery is Nov 29th. Hope I chose well for the funds available. Has anyone used this one before? I would like to hear what you think about it. Hope all have turkeyed-up their bellies and ready for the ho-ho parties! Karen

I hope the camera works out for you Karen, but the 2mp number sort of makes me leery. There might be resolving issues on the camera. I guess that's not a problem if you're able to take 30x or so images without issues.
I received my Aven microscopic camera! What do y'all think? Here is the 2nd 2000 Wide AM I found while waiting for my camera to come. Are the images any better than what I've been submitting? I'm sure the more I play with the lighting and all they will get better. Here's an old image of the first one I found:
