2012 Error Quarter?

    Hey guys check out this area above the roof line on the lighthouse their seems to be a double roof line. Obverse 1.jpg Obverse 2.jpg Obverse 3.jpg Obverse 4.jpg Obverse 5.jpg

    Are you talking on the right, coming out of the trees?

    It looks interesting. Is it raised? Does it appear to be a natural part of the coin?

    Hmm.. I think you might just have something. I wonder if it's a grease-filled die?

    If it is a raised part of the coin, then it could be a die crack. It would be cool if it was part of the die. We may have to wait to see if more like it surface.

    If it is concave, then it could be a strike through of some kind. Either way, if it came from the mint like that, it's cool.

    My circulated P has the same mark, but not as dark/obvious. It's not visible with the naked eye (mine anyways) and I can't see it with the regular 10x I have, but when I use a stronger magnifying glass with a light it's there.

    If it's incuse on the coin, it may be a minor struck-thru thread or something. If it is raised, I would imagine it is a die crack or something similar.
