My son asked me to pick up some penny rolls for him to seach and we got some strange items. For example, the Canadian coins we found were extremely old compared to the usual lot of north of the border coins. He found:
    1929
    1935
    1939
    1942
    2-1945
    1946
    2-1951
    1952
    2-1961
    1962
    1963
    1964
    1965
    1967
    1968
    1980
    1981
    1984
    1999
    2004

Unusual number of Canadians and some very old ones.

Tons of wheaties as old as 1920.

Also, 1 P mint set tolken and this strange coin I can't identify.

I'm sure it's a fairly common 2 something or other from someplace. :D

I've seen that design, but the little grey cells just can't seem to bring back when or where it was. :(

(I"ill probably kick myself around the block saying "Hey stupid, you knew that", when someone tells us what it is.)

Looks like either Austro-Hungarian or German empire to me, though without the 19th century Krause I can't say for sure.

You'll kick yourself because you knew it was an Austrian 2 Heller ;)

Looks like someone beat me to the punch while I was chasing down a child ;) You can actually see part of the eagle on the reverse if you look REALLY closely. I have a nice 1906 dated one. Nice find!

Quite right! In fact, the crown on the one you got from the roll is pointing roughly to 7 o'clock on the pic you gave us.
