So in my quest to get up to date on the National Parks Collection I have been going through quarters the past week. I pulled this one out today and have not seen something like it before. I was wondering if it is a clipped planchet or PMD. Thanks!

Only the coin knows for sure. but roll finds are a 50/50% to find out for sure only a TPG +$$.00 will answer this.
If I found in Bu Bank roll then maybe I would have it graded.if find one that has been circulated I just put it a slip + mark it maybe.unless is a high value coin I may get graded

Cool! I was looking around and reading about the blakesley effect and it looks like it has it across from the clipped portion. So next question, value-wise is it worth sending it in or should I just pop it in a 2x2 and keep it as a fun show piece?

Since the coin has circulated a bit, I can't see it being worth more than $10 in a retail setting.

If I were you, I'd just keep it in a 2x2 - it's not worth tying up money in submission fees, especially when the fees would likely add up to triple (maybe even quadruple) the coin's value.

That's what I was thinking. But hey - $10 is better than the 0.25 I paid for it. Thanks for the info.

I want to know about the reeding being at a 45 degree anlge.

I just looked at it and none of the reeding is like it is in the picture. It's all straight up and down like you would see on a normal quarter. Dunno why it scanned like that. Maybe I moved a bit when it was scanning? Either way, it isn't at an angle like in the picture.
