I got this quarter with change yesterday and believe it's grease filled.

Will let the error experts chime in but it very well could be... it has some wear but to be worn down enough for the date to almost disappear, L and Y in Liberty to fade, In God We Trust to be basically completely gone, there should be a lot more wear on Washington's portrait I think. Would help to see the reverse too. But yeah I'd say I'm like 90% sure this is an extreme example of a grease-filled die, if it's not just wear or PMD.

I think grease filled die as well what does the reverse look like? Wear that severe would certainly be evident on the rim...

Here is a photo of the reverse, it has four die cracks and, I also noticed on the obverse, there was one die crack.
I also included a photo of the edge.

Yes, it was caused by a grease-filled die. No, it's not worth a lot, but it is an interesting conversation piece.
