I found this in a lot of V Nickels I bought. At one point it looked like a 1879 but looks like this is not the case after doing a high resolution scan. Agree that this is a 1870?
That was a scan with the contrast set higher. It does look like a 1879 in this picture though without the contrast set higher. Looks like toning going through the 0.
