error dime or not?

hi i ran into this dime a little while ago and it got me into collecting coins i doudt it is but you never know. Everything is very cloudy on it you cant make out the year and barely read anything im also new so i have millions of questions hahaha so thanks for your time

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like it was stuck in some acid or something and maybe run over hundreds of times.

Where do I go to find ideas on what to look for in coins?

 

Acid bath. Get a redbook. That's the first step in coin collection literature.
