Had to scrape and claw to get $45 in dimes from this bank today. 3 different tellers $20, $20, & $5.
    Skunk!

Got screwed at the quicky oil lube place over the weekend too. Asked them change my tranny fluid, they used gear oil, like you would use for a large truck, I drive a Civic. So it was shifting like crap. Paid them $30, then had to pay someone else $47 to put the correct stuff in there.

A couple nice boxes of halves would make me feel better. I have 7 ordered for this week, lets see how many come in.

Bought a new office chair this weekend. Great for work, horrible for CRH'ing, lol.

A chair lower to the ground and a table that is low is what I like best. My kitchen table is terrible, too high. Lighting is also key, those lights that save money on your electric bill are terrible for finding silver. I like to search in my car during daylight hours either in the shade or with overcast skies. That is the most comfortable and you can listen to some tunes or sports radio.

  7. That's right I like to go work like an hour earlier so I go to the bank get dimes or singles bills and search in the car at the parking lot listening to some classical music and enjoy nickels or halves I search at home

I have desktop lamps that are diffused light for coin photography, I use those for searching too, works great... I prefer low chair, high desk, gets my face close to the coins and allows for minimal squinting and no glasses.

3 boxes of nickels, just 2 buffs and 1 war. Boring.

How funny, it seems we have a bunch of car CRHers! Sucks now that it gets dark so early. One more month and that should start turning around. Ironically, I seem to draw attention from the Po Po because I like to park rather conspicuously in strip mall parking lots. Completely legal, far enough away from traffic, but still safe enough to be seen. Can't tell you how many times I was asked if I was ok, or just taking a lunch break this past summer!

I also like to search in overcast daylight, makes picking out the silver dimes way easier!

2 boxes of dimes today gave up a single '64 roosie. Last week a $500 bag gave me 7 roosies, plus the teller had a '67 half in her tray.

$200 CWR Dimes: No Silver but I scored a 1998-S dime. Minted at 2.08 million, it's now my lowest mintage in circulation find to date.

Does anyone happen to have any double-sided magician's halves laying around? I'm looking for a few for Christmas gifts. If you have any, please send me a PM!

Been a couple of weeks between posts for me. I was on vacation, then too busy to search. This past weekend, after getting the shakes due to the withdrawls I was suffering, I finally got back to searching. Since Friday (my first search in 2 weeks, EEEK), here are my paltry results:

    Halves: 3 boxes - Skunks
    $150 in dimes: Skunk
1 box of nickels: 44S and 44D War nicks
4 rolls of quarters (trying to get some holefillers for ATB quarters): Nothing

Boxes of halves just stink lately.....I have a total of 22 silver halves in my last 35 boxes. Yuck!
