I would like see what any of you think this would grade at NGC & what your opinion of the coin is.

I picked this one to show in particular because I want to see if they will no-grade it because of the flaw in the hair. It looks to me to be as if it was a strike thru of some sort or possibly a planchet flaw. The detail is still all there under that little stripe . Also the litte thing on the nose is actually a dice chip.

    Either way thanks for looking-

The first 4 pics are camera & the last of the OBV. is a scan . The REV is so nice thatI decided to leave thta one out & Im not allowed any more pictrures in 1 post :smile

    Well Buddy, I think it's a pretty easy MS-64.

I think the coin has some wear, based on details I'd say AU55. As for the mark in the hair - it looks more like the result of a magic marker to me, but I don't have the coin in hand. A strike-through would not change the color. If I am correct, the coin would be body bagged.

The face and neck look like a bad shave with a bic razor. The mark on the hair is tough to determine but I don't think it would be body bagged. All in all I think it would be someone around MS61 / MS62

MS-62, with a great reverse! The bottom half of the cheek is a little too "baggy" or marked up for a higher grade, imo. I don't see any wear, but I miss that from time to time.

I think the planchet flaw is too large for the coin to be graded.

From the photo, there appears to be some wear on Liberty's cap. Due to the planchet issue, I would give the coin an AU-53.

NCS would slab it, but it looks a little iffy for an (uncirculated) NGC holder.

I would say AU-53. It appears that there is wear on Libery.

Congratulations. I'm surprised. That's why I hesitate to even guess at the grade of a potentially uncirculated coin. Everything in the world is starting to look AU to me. It's like a disease.

That is a real shocker! Well, congrats on the high grade anyways.

Does that mean I took bad pics ? :D Or that they were just deceiving rather than having it in hand ?

It means that I make mistakes Bud

In all honesty, based on the pics I thought I detected slight wear on the reverse - the wing tips and possibly the breast.

GD - you are usually not wrong & I just want to grasp what your eye was possibly picking up.
Let me see if I can spot what you were seeing. The spots I circled ?

    Thanks -
