How do I determine the worth of my 1979 Susan B. Anthony S, D, & P coins. I am a beginner with little knowledge and an untrained eye. Why are some valued a lot higher than others?

Most of the proofs are around 8 to 10 dollars in value. The 1979-S and the 1981-S type II coins are valued at 100 and 220 respectively. The type II coins have a clearer mint mark than the type I coins. The P, and D coins are a couple of bucks each.

you SBA'a are probably run of the mill, if they are MS they are prob worth a couple of bucks each. Try getting a copy of the red book. Most major book stores carry it in the hobbies/collectibles section.
