I found a $1 at work today with 0-7 scrambled up. I was wondering if it only is worth holding onto it if the numbers are in correct order. Sorry I don't have any pics since I am using my cell phone.

Also didn't know if it only worked like 01234567 or if it could be 30674521 as is the serial # on the dollar I have.

Some call it a mixed ladder. They're relatively common to find. We worked out the math in a previous thread somewhere. It was somewhere in the ballpark of 1 out of 300 notes has no digits repeating. It's not worth much, but I think it's neat. It's a dollar. If you like it, keep it.

I call them sudoku notes - I like it better since it applies when you miss a number, like 01235678 as components. Basically, it's a note with no repeating digits. Besides, it's a foreign term and sounds sexy...

More like 1 out of 55...which means the average strap of circulated notes contains almost two of these. Nothing that common is likely to command a premium, but of course that doesn't mean you can't collect it....
