Regardless of your sentiment towards that coin, it is still a part of history. Perhaps it was used by some victims of the holocaust. All the more reason to preserve it for future generations. Preserving the coin will help to serve as a reminder as to what happened and will also serve to keep the memories of those victims alive for those not only in the past or present but in the future as well.

    November 6, 2012 finds

I had 5 nickel rolls left over from yesterday and found 2 buffalos in them! One is dateless and the other is 1927.

I didn't have time to do any real roll searching today, but I grabbed 5 more nickel rolls at lunch. Boy, I'm glad I did! In the first roll I found this super nice 1942-P:

But the best was yet to come! One of the last coins out of the same roll was this perfect 1943-P war nickel:

It still has full mint luster! No rubbing or wear at all! Love it!

Nothing more in the rest of the rolls. I went back and asked for more nickels, but nothing much in those rolls either. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining!

That's terrific! Most people are happy with 5 war nickels in $100 boxes! Nice find!

I have a Canon with a 100mm macro lens. It's the macro lens that makes the difference.

Box of Quarters: A few 2010, 2011 and 2012 hole fillers but SKUNK.

Today is my birthday and my dump bank told me that they won't take my coins anymore. :( I have given them gifts, been very polite, related well with the tellers but the manager (that I never see during my visits) told me that they won't take my coins. Thanks for the great birthday present. I closed my account, which made the manager smile.
