    I agree with you Thad, PL Lincolns are HARD to image! Very nice one too. What is even more uncommon is that it is a Philly PL Lincoln. Normally what I see is mainly Denver coins having prooflike surfaces.

    It took me quite a few pics to show it properly. Proofs and PL's reflect light strangely!

    May I make a suggestion before we each wind up posting 50 pictures for 2009, how about doing one type each day. Day one do "Birth and Childhood", day 2 do "Formative Years", etc.

    I've noticed that too. Denver is the only mint that doesn't make proofs, but they come out with PL business strikes - go figure.

    Do you notice that when taking a picture of a proof like coin how hard it is not too get the dark black areas. It is like it just swallows up the light
