Brian , I didn't look in my book , but it is techniquely a 35 by ANA 6th Edition satandards , and who ever heard of PCGS using those standards , plus the eye appeal is excellant , I'd still give it a 40 and I'm a pretty conservative grader .
Here's another one of mine , which is original but I like yours better . Also wanted to add it's now in an Intercept Shield holder to keep it from getting any darker . Wish they were still making them , but the coin doesn't look that great in a black background .
I like that one, Rusty! She's dark but not too dark - meaning still nice enough to enjoy. Anyway, thanks for the kind words, gents! Looks like the consensuses is that she was treated unfairly at the third party - exactly my thoughts when I made the purchase. My personal opinion - I see nothing barring her from an XF40 grade. The details are there, no deep abrasions, and the coin has nice overall eye-appeal. So... Maybe a good candidate for a trip to CAC? We'll see... I'll keep you all updated.
Thanks, but I wouldn't sell her to ya even if you had the money. PCGS called her VF30, in case you didn't catch it in earlier posts.
