I wonder if anyone can clear this up, but first here's what the coin looks like.

My issue is what the data on numismaster reads: 4.5 g 0.0984 oz ASW
4.5 grams? The coin reads 5.4 at .680 silver purity, so where does this 4.5 number come from, is it a typo on website or the coin itself?

5.4 grams is the correct weight for your coin. It is .68 fine.:)

Is that your 1925A, Ripley? If it is, have you weighed it with an accurate scale? Just curious since I don't have an accurate scale, yet. For the record, my initial image is not of my own personal coin. Mines a 1930A in VG, which is a far cry from the initial photo.

Well Fah, the coin is mine I have an extensive collection of French Indochine coins & currency. I got the weight out of Krause World Coins, the Bible for coin collectors. Don't you just love the Piastres??? Just so many counterfeits for this series. Yours is OK. :hail:

The piastres are quite nice. I only have one but it's a looker. My 20 cent is packed away but here's my piastre.
