Hello to all collectors and members of this forum! I'm new at this site. I have a question I hope уоu can help me. I have a banknote Imperial Russia 100 Rubles 1920 South Russia banknotes (with this picture). I know the value of this banknote will not exceed 10, a maximum of 20 dollars. But I think my banknote is worth more because it has a гаге serial number AA009. So the ninth printed. The truth is slightly damaged in the middle of the note. But I think it does have a higher value because of the serial number. What do you think?

This note in AU/UNC is around $20, if yours was without missing part it could have been $5-6. I'd say this is a $1 note.

AA-009 does not necessarily mean its 9th printed, just one of the first in series.

Some notes in Russia then had "frozen" serial numbers so that all the numbers were the same.

Some notes had the year frozen ;)

This is a "Wrangel's Army of South Russia" note, in other words note printed in some seized printing house by armed gangs of аnti-communist ("white") forces... not even government. Pretty sure serials are not representing printing order but as far as I`ve seen AA can be considered low serial. AA-001 could have gained premium.

Banknote is certainly original, not a copy. I have most of my life numismatist, and I differentiate fake from the original. I collect ancient coins (ancient Greece, Rome, Celts, Illyrians and Byzantine coins).
This Russian bank notes in the possession of my family for over seventy years. I am sorry to sell it, but I need to reconcile some debts. That's why I asked how I could look up the bill for the money, because its serial number is AA-009. Which means it is among the top ten printed. It is rare to have, you have to agree!

    Nobody said its a copy.

Commanding general Wrangel of the anti-Bolshevik White Army in Southern Russia released these in Krym in 1920. This is not a government issue, but it doesn't mean its a copy.

Upon inspection it seems that A means city of printing, not printing order: A and B series printed in Feodosiya, Я series are from Simferopol.

But it means nothing for you is it? You have no doubt that this note is extremely valuable and the very 1st printed. Good luck with your plans.

I know who was General Pyotr Nikolayevich Wrangel. As you know who was Alexander Kolchak, who was Anton Denikin, who was Nikolai Yudenich. I am the master of historical sciences. Maybe post text that I wrote is not well composed, because English is not my native language.
I know that the banknotes printed by the White Army after, the Bolshevik Revolution. During the Civil War, which lasted from 1918-1922 in Russia.
Thanks for the help with the analysis banknotes, I hope to get a decent offer for it.
