    Good morning gang,

I just saw this on one of the eagles I got with a collection. Do the same laws apply on eagles as US coins regards to errors ?

Thanks Rick but i´m not sure that it is damage. I have asked Mike to see what he thinks.

I´m the first one to knowlidge when i´m wrong but i´m seeing something that " my lack of English words " cant explain.

I´ll hopefully know if my brain is doing tricks on me later today ;)

It´s an small error, It´s struck through a piece of debris.

Now for the 20 billion dollar ebay auction. I´m 100% sure it could possible be a one in a million kind of a coin ;)

I´m off course kindding this most likely will deminish the coins value as it´s so small.

That was my thought Siggi....struck through. I'm not sure if it commands a premium as most ASE collectors want their coins pristine, but I'm sure there are some who collect errors such as this.

Just once I would like to see a 40% off center ASE, now that would be a sight to behold.

Question for you Siggi - is that incuse or raised ? In the pics it looks raised to me, but pics can be deceptive that way. If it is raised then it just about has to be a retained strike-through. And on an ASE that would be a significant error.

There have been a few ASE errors discovered over the years, but very few.

If it is incuse then it most likely means that it is a PMD

I agree that if it is incuse and clean, then something was on the die at the time of the strike.
