    This is a S-9 1857 Flying Eagle clashed with a Seated Liberty Half, cherrypicked this out of a dealers long box. Paid only $25 for it.

    Grungy or not, I love this stuff from the 1800's.

    i don't have a good shot of this '97 barber dime yet, but it was my first pre-1900 coin. maybe this thread will give me something to do with the rest of the evening, while the wife is out scaring the kiddos at the front door...

    Nice toning on that Great Britain coin and the Morgan is a very nice white.

    Yes, nice detail. Is there doubling going on there or is it the pic?

    Thanks for you interest guys! It is an 1881 S - San Francisco. It's not doubling, it is from the oxidation by the coin touching the wood I think, could be wrong though.

    Here's a splendid, original 1820 curl 2 I went overboard on. There aren't many unspoiled like this.
