I'm not a big indian cent fan, nor do I know a lot about the series. This one looks like it's seen better days imo,, to me it looks: cleaned, retoned in not the best environment, and has carbon flecks on the reverse, and is a pretty common date I think. I would not have gone more that 5-10 bucks if I were looking for the date. In hand, it could totally be a stunner however,,, definitely one that you want to see in hand.

I agree to look at it carefully before opening the holder. Looks to be market unacceptable as far as tone and perhaps enhanced photos. Look at the rim/edges. I think if they had thought it would pass ( since they are authorized PCGS and NGC dealer), they would have graded it first. It looks AU with wear on ribbon and curl below it. IMO.

I do not think you will be happy with it on the long run. I see wear they say BU. They say beautiful tone I say bottled tone. And no one said anything about the big dark spot yet.

Thanks for your opinions guys. If anything at least I have a Christmas present for my friend. I'm sure he'll love it, even if I don't.

Not impressed, you could have done better. :/

Like the others above, I dont like the spots, toning seems fake and there is for sure some wear.
