Is there any way to tell if a 1968 canadian dime is the 50% silver type, or the nickel type? My friend that lives an hour away from me just bought what she says looks to her like an unopened mint roll of 1968 dimes, for $5.00. would the magnate test work without opening the roll?

I happen to have a display with both the silver and non silver 1968 dimes. The non silver dime is magnetic and the silver is not magnetic so the magnate test will work.
