    Hello everyone,

I wanted to buy a good scanner to be able to take good scans of a banknote collection i´m going to put up on ebay.

I bought the Canon 700F and I´m not liking how the background come out. I could photoshop another one in but I shouldnt have to do that.

Look at the background behind the note. It´s gray/blueish and there are lines in it as well.

This is from one of my listings on feebay hope it´s ok because I want you too see how it comes out on ebay. Not very attractive.

If not i´ll add the photos tomorrow as I´m at home :)

I don't know.... it looks fine to me. The background is a very light grey-blue but it's not that noticeable.

Btw.... you've got some amazing coins and tokens for sale! I'm drooling here!

    You know I do?

Take a blank piece of printing paper, and place that behind the item to scan.

So place your note on the scanner glass, then a piece of paper over top of it, then close the lid and scan.

This is a good suggestion. If you are using photoshop to add your logo, deleting the background would only take a few more seconds.

I think you're being overly critical of your scans. They look darn good to me!

I'm with Jim, your listings and images look great. Not to mention the items are very cool.

    I agree. That's a great scan.

If you're not happy with it, just put a sheet of paper behind it, or crop out the background.
