Has a child i was given 10 1980 ten cents hong kong coins to play with, i have just come across the coins agin after 30 years, in a box of coins i had has a kid. I can not currently find a value on the internet for the coins I know they are rare/sarce any idea what they are worth?

I come from Wales the next village over from where I live houses the Royal mint, my late uncle who gave me the coins was charged with distroying said coins by burying them in a government landfil site used by the mint and customs, these are what he picked up after the job was complete, with picking rights, if I rember correctly it was 30 years ago,

Hong Kong coinage, and especially modern Hong Kong coinage has been attracting a lot more interest and much higher prices the last several years. This applies mostly to Unc coins but also to those with less availability. It is probably related to the great wealth of this country plus the fast growing Chinese economy. I have to suspect the move has only begun.
