RE: With a little disapproval of my girlfriend, I sliced it open. Does this mean you took it out of the graded PCGS green holder! Why would you do that? Isn't the worth higher because it was officially graded? Or do you think it should be graded higher? Just wondering....
We need the grammar police to let us know whether he sliced open the slab, the couch or his girlfriend. TC
If I would have had to, I would have gone through my GF to get to the couch. But it was the underside liner of the couch that got sliced open. As for the slab, I haven't decided yet if I will crack it out for my album.
Nice, I was almost right when I said under the couch cushions! Seriously, though, I'm glad you found it
Here you go Jim. The coin: The couch (dirty thief): And the girlfriend after a cocktail or two (eat your hearts out):
I can't find a webste for Gulf SOuth Coins. The coin shop here in Baton Rouge has become a joke and I'm always looking for new shops.
Actually, I don't think the grammar police need to leave their donut shop. He couldn't have sliced his girlfriend open, because he referred to sliced open object as "it". If it had been the girlfriend, the word choice would have been "she". Next, to find out if it was the Couch, the Couch's liner, or the slab (all of which could be referred to as "it" and previously mentioned), it makes no sense to slice open the slab to free the slab from the couch or the liner. And by saying he had to turn the couch over and it still wasn't free, means that the couch's liner must have been holding it in. Unless he was really hating on his couch, it also makes no sense to slice open the couch to get to the object held in the liner, but does make sense to take the least harmful way out, and slice the liner a bit to free the coin (slab and coin together). BTW....Congrats on finding your coin!!! Yay!
My hero!!! You slayed the evil couch, rescued the princess, and recovered the treasure!! You sir are a numismatic knight.
