To be honest, despite this obvious raw deal, I got plenty of value in the responses and in some strange way I feel the experience was worth it. I also know that many lurkers learn a lot by reading these forums. I myself was an avid reader before I joined. It would be funny if this dealer refused to play ball with me and his name ended up in the search engines over such a petty amount of money. But again, being honest would save a person this grief. Whether you are a Christian, Buddhist, or whatever, it's common knowledge that what goes around comes around. I think it's possible for an honest coin dealer to succeed.

As has been said repeatedly here, buying a slabbed coin, even if not from the top three TPGs, may be worth it. I think ICG and PCI are decent. ANACS seems OK too, though it is often ranked third. I'd really be Please read the rules. Using any symbols, etc. to represent letters in a curse word is not permitted. if I hadn't already bought a legit MS 1927 Peace dollar. I got this one off of eBay for a decent price. Yes, much higher than $70, but at least it's not polished or damaged like the raw coin I bought online. So if you want the peace of mind in knowing you won't be ripped off, getting a slabbed coin is a good way to go.

Regarding the "curse" word -- my apologies. I grew up in a different time than some here and the word I tried to put in, believe me, is not generally considered a curse word outside of some religious private schools. I want to be clear that it was not my intent to curse. Like I wrote, I am younger than most numismatists.

As for the Peace dollar above (the one in the slab), yeah, it is MS and although it has some nicks on the nose and cheek (I believe), I really like the luster. Many supposedly MS Peace dollars are missing luster and to me that's a let-down.

I just spoke to the coin dealer on the phone, and he is denying having sent me this coin. So I will sell it on eBay and take my loss. I erred by taking it out of the holder. He is accusing me of lying.

    Hello,
This is Wes Komka I work for my father Ray Komka who is the dealer that your accusing of sending you a polish garbage coin. Let me be the first to agree that the coin you show with all those scratches is a piece of junk!

Secondly Ray has been working as a full time coin dealer since 1980 and would never send that junk coin out as a MS60. We would rather cancel your order than ruin our reputation on that transaction. After seeing the coin that you claim we sent you I can see why you have sent me 5 emails and are willing to publicly annouce my company name. Let me do it for you its Ray Komka Coins! We didn't send you that junk coin. We will not take back that coin that you claim we sent you since it is not true.

Ray just got off the phone with you and your son and your father calling my father Ray a liar is just a waste of time and not productive! As you know there is always 2 sides if not 3 sides to every story! I know this was our first transaction and let me be clear we will not fill any other orders in the future with your info.

Feel free to reply to this message I think this is what cointalk needs to hear. I can post all 5 emails from jolumoga if this forum will allow it.

    Sincerely,
    Wes Komka

That's OK, the issue is resolved. We don't need to start an argument in this forum over it. I ended the Paypal dispute and I will sell the coin on eBay. Let's bury the hatchet. I do not want the stress of continuing this, and I did not publicly mention your name.

It seems that the 2 parties have reached an ending to the problem, and as only they know what happened, the forum can not contribute any more, beyond what has already been said. So I will close the thread. Peace.
