hello all. i've spent the last day looking for info concerning production values for us notes (red seal) but have found nothing. looking at ebay, i'm guessing the info exists somewhere (some notes are listed as coming from 640k print runs, etc). does anyone know where to point me for such info?
I'm not sure just what you meain by "production values" But try this Site. www.uscurrencyauctions.com/prices.htm It will list just about every US note from the early days to the current days. Bill Collector
what i'm looking for is info pertaining to print runs and dates. kind of like the info available at uspapermoney.info, only for united states notes instead of federal reserve notes.
hmm... thanks for trying! i had assumed there would be resources dedicated to the red seals, considering the availability of fed note info. after looking around online, i see that there's a red book for us currency. if anyone owns this book, can you tell me if the info i'm looking for would be in there? i'd likely buy the book if it would help me out.
US Paper Money's website has some information under each denomination. Here is information on the $5's.....http://www.uspapermoney.info/serials/all___q.html I have books with the print totals. The best one is The Standard Guide to Small-Size U.S. Paper Money (10th Edition) by John Schwartz/Scott Lindquist.
i had missed the obsolete types info on uspapermoney! thank you for pointing that out to me. i may still pick up that book anyways. it would be nice to have one on hand.
